Petaluma Farmhouse Bedroom
Minimalist Built-Ins with Custom Oak Wardrobes and Corian Storage
This custom bedroom project was designed to pair modern minimalism with the warmth of natural wood. Built entirely from Baltic birch plywood carcasses, this dual-section cabinetry system delivers both utility and subtle elegance — maximizing storage in a sloped-ceiling farmhouse renovation.
Section 1: Built-In Corian Drawer Storage
Running wall-to-wall beneath a mounted television, this bank of 12 soft-close drawers is framed by a thin, European-style Glacier White Corian counter with waterfall leg. The drawer fronts were also fabricated from Glacier White Corian, offering a continuous and flawless finish throughout the entire face.
Baltic birch cabinet boxes with seamless Corian fronts
Matte black tab pulls for a low-profile, modern detail
42" tall counter for added storage capacity and visual balance
Blum soft-close hinges and undermount drawer glides for smooth, silent operation
Section 2: Custom Angled White Oak Wardrobes
To take full advantage of the room’s sloped ceiling, we designed a series of built-in wardrobe units with angled tops, transforming previously unusable wall space into a highly functional storage wall.
Each unit features:
Oversized white oak doors with a natural matte finish
Matte black pulls for contrast and a modern touch
Interior hanging rods and hidden toe kick storage, accessible from inside
Custom color-changing LED toe-kick lighting that doubles as ambient night lighting
The end result is a bedroom that feels both grounded and clean — elevated by natural materials and thoughtful detailing.
